Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation - Identifying potential clients, conducting market research, and generating new sales leads.
- Relationship Building - Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships to foster trust and collaboration.
- Needs Assessment - Understanding market/client needs and challenges to tailor product solutions and demonstrate the value proposition.
- Product Knowledge - Maintaining a deep understanding of the company's products and services.
- Participate in meetings with product management to better understand new features and product roadmap concepts.
- Ability to develop and review proposal content.
- Sales Presentations and Demonstrations - Presenting products and solutions to potential clients, often including in-person demonstrations.
- Negotiation and Closing Deals - Negotiating terms and closing sales to secure new business.
- Collaboration - Working closely with sales, marketing, and other internal teams to achieve sales goals.
- Reporting and Analysis – Creating and managing a sales pipeline, tracking sales results, preparing reports, and analyzing market trends.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of government contracting and an understanding of government procurement processes.
- Familiarity with compliance and ethics, including adherence to regulations and standards in federal contracting.
- Proficiency in market research and analysis.
- Experience in proposal writing.
- Technical expertise regarding the products or services being offered, including Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) items.
- A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in the field.
